- 올해 명단은 9개국에서 13개의 신규 진입 레스토랑을 포함해 전 세계 레스토랑을 기념

더 유명한 요리 명소 외에, 벨기에의 해변 마을에 위치하고 Willem Hiele가 대표하는 Koksijde가 77위에 올랐으며, 프랑스 북부 La Madelaine-sous-Montreuil의 La Grenouillere는 91위로 재진입했다. 케이프타운의 미식 스타인 La Colombe는 33단계 상승하며 81위에 올랐고, Fyn은 92위에 올랐다.

확장된 올해 명단에는 그 어느 때보다 많은 아시아 레스토랑이 포함됐으며, 대표적인 국가는 5개 국가다. 또한, 덴마크, 벨기에, 콜롬비아, 프랑스, 남아프리카공화국에서 각각 1곳씩 신규 진입 레스토랑이 나타난 반면, 페루와 영국은 각각 2곳씩 확보했다. 51-100위 전체 명단은 여기에서 확인할 수 있다.

이 연간 명단은 저명한 국제 셰프와 음식 저널리스트부터 여행 미식가에 이르기까지, 미식 업계에서 독립적인 관계자로 구성된 투표 심사위원단이 작성한다. 심사위원단은 남녀 성별이 균등한 1,000명 이상의 인원으로 구성된다.

LONDON, Sept. 23, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- The World's 50 Best Restaurants, sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, today reveals its list of restaurants ranked from 51st to 100th ahead of the annual awards ceremony, taking place on Tuesday 5th October 2021 in Antwerp, Flanders:

- This year's list celebrates restaurants across the globe including 13 new entries from 9 countries

- The restaurants come from 22 countries across six continents

- Japan has five restaurants in the 51-100, the highest number from any country, with two new entries from Tokyo - Sazenka and L'Effervescence

- 21 entries are from Europe, 13 from Asia and nine from South America

- Two new entries for 2021, Kjolle and Mil in Peru, are restaurants co-owned by The World's Best Female Chef Award winner Pia Leon

- The highest new entry in the 51-100 list is Alchemist in Copenhagen, Denmark at No.58

Outside of more renowned culinary hotspots, Belgian seaside town Koksijde is represented by Willem Hiele at No.77 and La Grenouillere in La Madelaine-sous-Montreuil in northern France re-enters at No.91. Cape Town's gastronomic star is also on the rise, with La Colombe rising 33 places to No.81 and a new entry, Fyn, at No.92.

This year's extended list includes more Asian establishments than ever before, with five countries represented. In addition, Denmark, Belgium, Colombia, France and South Africa each have one new entry, while Peru and the UK boast two apiece. You can view the full list from 51-100 here.

Ahead of the ceremony, renowned chef Massimo Bottura of former No.1 restaurant Osteria Francescana and part of the 'Best of The Best' group, will host a live stream from the red carpet beginning at 16:30 CET.
